Niantic have dropped their usual “Hidden in plain sight” clues as to what the next Community Day Pokemon will be. And is Kalos region’s very own Fletchling.
This appears to be a break away from Niantics usual pattern of releasing starters from new regions (in this case Unova rather than Kalos, even though Kalos is the new region) and gone straight to Kalos, and to add to the twist, Niantic didn’t go with a Kalos starter. Possibly too soon as not a lot of new Pokemons from the Kalos Region has been released yet.
It is fair for people to be disappointed with Unova being skipped, but there could be a number of reasons for this. With the Covid-19 Pandemic hitting the world in late 2019 early 2020, the whole Community “routine” went out of the window. Therefore Niantic have decided to carry on with their usual routine of releasing Pokemons from the current new region (in this case Kalos) and find a way of releasing Unova Pokemons as shiny (or as a Community Day Pokemon) either during the year through Community Days or via specific events. Without the introducing Unova Pokemons via Community Days, it leaves a big gap with potential options for PVP, Raids and Shiny collectors. But I guess we need to wait and see what happens over the coming months.
So coming back to Fletchling’s Community Day. The Exclusive move for Talongflame will be Incinerate. The main bonus will be 3 times XP. As per usual, there will be a Community Ticket costing $0.99 USD (or the equivelant in your area). The Community Day will run from 11:00AM to 5:00PM local time. There will also be a Community Box that will have an Elite Fast TM as part of the bundle.
